This past January I resolved merely “to grow”. Since then, I am happy to report that I have pushed myself in ways I never would have imagined with this objective of growth. Some of this includes going several months without shaving my legs, befriending people far out of my comfort zone, applying for ridiculous jobs and scholarships out of reach, and choosing to trust even when I’ve been failed. All of these things I find very intimidating, but every single experience has been completely worth it. I hope that it is portrayed in my life as I continue on this quest toward growth in all areas of my life.
After transferring mid-college career, I did not think it was possible to also add study abroad. Thankfully, I was incredibly wrong. Through the help of some scholarship money and some encouragement from those closest to me I am not only studying abroad, but studying in both China and Greece. I feel incredibly blessed to have such an opportunity to travel and broaden my perspective on the world. I have no doubt that I will learn and discover more than I expect. I also hope to learn more about my Creator as I see more of His beautiful handiwork.
Feel free to keep up with what I’m doing, assuming I’m able to keep up with this blog…my internet usage is out of my hands and so no promises can be made. Hopefully by the end of it all you’ll see some of how I’ve grown too.
